The 2024 Qatar Grand Prix took place from 29 November to 1 December 2024. It was the twenty-third and penultimate round of the 2024 Formula One® World Championship, and the third time Qatar hosted the Grand Prix.
Despite an action-packed race of safety cars, spins and collisions, Max Verstappen once again claimed victory for Red Bull. Starting off from a grid penalty, the world champion commanded the race at the front to secure his ninth win of the season ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and McLaren’s Oscar Piastri.
Lando Norris set a new lap record of 1:22.384 on lap 56.
The DRS zone leading into turn 1 was shortened by 100 metres.
