With its pleasant rosy hue, the gigantic artwork twists and turns like intestines. The lacquered aluminium resembles paper maché, making it playful and whimsical at the same time. The title references the structural membranes of the abdomen – also known as the mesentery or organ which surrounds the gut organs. The piece is over 6m long and 5m high – one of the artist’s largest-ever creations. It was exhibited at Miami’s Art Basel in 2012.
