The Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium, locally often called Lekhwiya SC Stadium, was designed in partnership with ECG Qatar, Pieper Sports Facility Consulting, and Site Concepts International. The construction began in 2011 and was completed by February 2013. The arena was created as Lakhwiya Football Club's home stadium and has a capacity for 10,000 football fans.
